Living in Delray Beach Florida is just plane fun! And when you do, this is one city where you must enjoy it not just by car. Park that thing, grab your bike, lace up your walking shoes, jump on your skateboard and cruise it in style. You’ll see bikers all over the place – mainly on A1A near the beach – on weekends as the bike groups are prominent here. But as Delray Beach is not a huge geographic area, you’ll find it educational to just walk. Yes, from downtown to the beach is only a 15 minute walk. Then turn right, go south and enjoy the neighborhoods and parks there. Heck, if you go long enough you may find yourself at the local Trader Joes or Fresh Market.
Atlantic Avenue is a great place to be seen. That’s right, keep your legs moving and enjoy our local clothing shops, coffee and wine bars… and our world-class restaurants. But it’s best when on your feet walking. That way you’ll be able to stroll off “The Ave” to places like the Delray Beach Market, Olio Bistro, or venture to the north side in Pineapple Grove.
Between Swinton Ave and the intracoastal waterway, you’f find all sorts of wonderful local eats, bars, beer pubs and more. For fish lovers make it your personal mandate to stop by and see Captain Clay and his sons. You can’t be living in Delray Beach Florida without eating the finest fish from our tropical waters.
And if your vibe is the arts, make sure you cruise to Old School Square Cornell Art Museum. Or if you love live music, make sure you check out the jammed packed schedule of world-class entertain at Arts Garage.
