John Wieland’s real estate journey began in 1992, when he co-founded a property management company. After purchasing his first tri-plex in 1997, he expanded his own real estate portfolio with five additional apartment buildings and obtained his real estate license as his involvement in property investment continued to grow.

In 2003, John and his wife moved to Costa Rica, where he purchased more than 100 acres of ocean-view property and became a partner-owner of the Coldwell Banker Costa Rica master franchise. Under his leadership, the brand grew from two offices to 12 offices with more than 65 agents. As a luxury broker specializing in new luxury residential real estate, John sold 123 properties over ten years.

John and his family relocated to Delray Beach, Florida, in 2015 and purchased their first downtown Delray home in 2018. Today, his MrDowntownDelray brand reflects his focus on Delray Beach real estate, the local community, and the businesses that make the area unique.

John has also earned the GREEN Realtor designation, complementing his interest in sustainable building, smart-home technology, energy-conscious living, and helping homeowners find practical ways to live with a lighter footprint.
