Delray Florida – You Will LOVE These Three Beer Spots.
Most folks spend their time cruising Atlantic Avenue, or, “The Ave.” I get it as that’s the draw of Delray Florida. But once you get off The Ave, you explore what we locals do. It’s here where you can talk without yelling, without the crowds, and enjoy good brews in a more chill atmospher.
First up on the Delray Florida beer tour is Beer Trade Co. Located one and a half blocks north of The Ave on 4th Avenue, it’s for the munchie crowd seeking plenty of beer options with a good food menu. On weekends, they’ll have their TV’s glued to sports with misters keeping you cool. You can sit outside or in, but table space inside is thin.
The Beer Trade Co. has over 200 chilled beer behind a large cooler. Just grab one, or more, use there glass opener and head to your table. Grab some grub, enjoy the ambiance and when you’re done, bring your beers to the checkout counter where they tally you up. They keep it easy. The staff if super chill and that atmosphere resonates. Oh, lunch menu is open daily, and you can enjoy evening food as well.
Now head over to Coffee District in Pineapple Grove. It’s on NE 2nd just below Lake Ida. Sure you can grab coffee in the morning, but this Delray Florida spot has its heart on beer. And good, no great beer rules the roost.
It’s quaint, has about 8 stools at the bar, and plenty of table seating about. I often run into a beer distributor or brew master from our surrounding area and listen to them chat beer nuance. Ask for a special on tap – most likely a high alcohol Belgium – or stroll over to the cooler to find a bottle or can. Either way, the owner or beer-barista is knowledgable about their inventory and will steer you in the right frosty direction.
If you can walk, you can burn some of your buzz off by cruising over to Hopportunities on Federal Highway just north of Lake Ida Rd. Hopportunities is more of an entertainment spot. Lots of tables, lots of games, some outdoor food from catering companies and plenty of corn hole. Get a wrist band loaded up with currency, stroll over to where you’ll find 30-50 beer-pulls to enjoy. Each is labeled with good explanations, tasting nites, flavors and more. They carry a full array of citrus flavors, stouts, local IPA’s and more surprises.
You’ve now enjoyed three Delray Florida top beer spots off The Ave with friendly ambiance. I visit all on a regular basis and give each multiple thumbs up. Try them all, find your favorite one, or all, and bring your friends to the top beer spots in Delray Florida.
