Happy Thanksgiving! It’s time be be thankful…
Today’s eLetter will be light. Oftentimes it’s heavy with tons of numbers and percentages. But not today.
Today I give myself space to be thankful – to you.
But first, if you don’t know me, yet, let me share. I lived in California until I was 35. Then, after selling my company, my wife and I wanted to change up our scenery and relax.
We chose Costa Rica. We gave it “one year to see how it goes.” That lasted 13 wonderful years.
We came back to US soil, landing in downtown Delray in 2015.
We LOVE Delray Beach!
But, we love every place we’d lived. We’ve met incredible people along the way and now have friends all over the place. We’ve learned cultures and languages. We’ve lived on west and east coasts. We’ve enjoyed beach sunsets and sunrises.
Where Do YOU Live Where You Can Be Thankful
No matter where we’ve lived, we’ve been involved in our communities. Whether it was helping build a police station, hiring beach lifeguards or schools in Costa Rica. Or being active in Delray volunteering for numerous city events, beach cleanups, or creating videos to help local businesses.
You can be thankful where you call home. Giving and being grateful are easy values to enjoy.
But what’s most gratifying for me is helping YOU navigate the real estate game. It could be writing this weekly eLetter to you with information I strive to make useful. Or explaining how a real estate transaction is done in Florida compared to where you are coming from. Or… connecting you to service providers who can address your needs with a competence I’d expect if our roles were reversed.
Be Thankful For What You Do And Where
I’m in the people business. I love helping you get “from there, to here… or from here, to there.” One thing I’ve found in almost 30 years of real estate is this: once we’ve done business together, most likely we’ll become friends. At the very least, acquaintances who look after and help each other. Or who invite each other to our respective homes, on vacation or to regular dinners.
Bottom line: be thankful as life is working FOR you. With this idea, I begin each day with gratitude. I journal each day as a reminder of how incredible life is and how thankful I am for you. Because without you… joy, fun and happiness cannot be shared. And real estate is about all those emotions.
My wish is you share this Thanksgiving with the ones you love. Whether that’s with one or 10,000… give gratitude and be thankful for those you spend time with on this day.
