How this Delray Beach shopping spot has remained a secret for this long, I don’t know… but today is the big reveal.
I bet you’ve never moseyed west of I-95 for Delray Beach shopping, right? Well, guess what… that ends now. Today I’m showing off Delray’s Design District located just west of I 95, south of the intersection of Atlantic and Congress.
This industrial park is starting to look like Miami Wynwood Walls. There’s artwork everywhere. This owner is bringing in entrepreneur, mom and pop businesses, who want to get away from the hustle and bustle. Come on down to the Delray Design District for a new experience.
I was unable to get an interview or video of all the businesses here. For those owners, I apologize. I’ll come back and do this again. But for those of you who’ve never been here, take a look at the video above.
Let’s take a look at Delray Design District.
The Andre Design District is Delray’s new and popular spot to meet, entertain, innovate, and it’s just a cool destination spot. It’s not far away from downtown Delray. It’s a Delray Beach shopping spot on the west side of I95, right next to the Tri-Rail train station.
The Andre Design District is where local businesses, galleries, and eateries come to thrive. It’s located on Congress Avenue, just south of Atlantic. The potential that’s lurking inside the 60,000 square foot hub of mixed retail and office space is huge.
The Design District is becoming a Delray Beach shopping place where locals bring their friends for a beer or a bite to eat, or a place to get a massage. It’s a place for locals and for you.
Here’s the cool, local insight that you might not know about, but city leaders and industry professionals do. Congress Avenue corridor has the potential of becoming Delray Beach’s next great street.
If you haven’t driven along Congress Avenue, on the north side of Atlantic Avenue is Aura Delray Beach apartment development that will be renting in the second quarter of 2023. It’ll have 292 apartments for rent. There’s talks of more apartments going up in this corridor in the future.
This is an area you can visit now for fun Delray Beach shopping.
Delray Beach Shopping – Design District Style
One of the first businesses you run into is Sugar Chef. It’s a mother-daughter venture. They’re from France. They create phenomenal pastries and all sorts of desserts.
Next to it is Goat Cafe. It’s a tittle family business that caters to dogs and “Galentine’s”… and guys with cars. Goat Cafe, they’re open daily. And on Thursdays and Fridays, they have a happy hour from three to six. They make delicious pastries, cookies, dog treats, cappuccinos… and the sell beer – just another cool entrepreneurial family run business you should check out.
While there check it out all the artwork throughout the Design District. And if you want to enjoy some cool smoothies, talk to Kevin at Kevin’s Market. He makes delicious smoothies.
Design District has all sorts of cool art. And you find anything for your car, too. There’s a body shop, mechanic shop, tuneups. There’s Zee Brow Studio for women eyes.
They have the Florida Bitcoin Citadel.
They have everything at the Delray Design. So when you walk into Florida Bitcoin Citadel, you get a cool vibe. It’s a nice spot where blockbchain experts do work for the industry. They have their own podcast. And, they have a meetup you may join where they educate the public.
There are four internal streets at Design District. If you’re an art lover, stop on by. Here’s a sample:
If you want to see a place that’s eco-friendly, who sells products that help you reduce, reuse, refuse… take a look at Zukes Refillery – you’re gonna love this place. This shop defines Delray Beach shopping to a “T.” The owner is Lindsay.
As Lindsay says, “We are all about people and our planet. As you can see, everything is made without plastic packaging, we source ethical labor, sustainable source ingredients, nothing toxic that’s gonna hurt you, your family, your home, your pets… nothing like that. Everything here is fillable, which is incredible. It’s a great way to feel empowered about helping the planet rather than throwing something in a blue or yellow bin and hoping it gets recycled. You bring your container, fill up whatever you’d like, and you pay by the ounce at the front of our store. Everything else in the store is about single use swaps. We have great kitchen items, like non-paper towels. These are great alternative for single use of paper towels. Everything is going to be helping you reduce your plastic waste from things you might be buying at bigger grocery stores.
Next up on your Delray Beach shopping tour is Connective. This gymnasium is about body movement. It’s not your typical gym with weights and loud music and mainstream machines. Instead, it’s a private journey to get your body to use what it’s meant for. The owner, Johnny, will guide you through your ailment using effective cadence machines, weights, and body measurement tool.
Make sure you pop into Endless Art Studio for a great, traditional barbershop. The owner’s got it going on. His show is a memorabilia store as well. Come by and say hi to his Rottweiler, my favorite new dog in all Delray, Miles. He’ll love you.
Then there’s The Spark Boutique. According to the owner, Dawn, “I’m a stylist and I specialize in styling you for your body shape and your lifestyle. I style you to make you feel beautiful for any occasion, and also get you into the latest trends to stand out in all of the events that you attend. When you come shop at the Spark Boutique you’ll “get Sparked.”
And if you are a business owner seeking a place to get away for a day, or need a photo or podcast studio, check out Pixelworx. What a great vibe. You can rent out space for a day, for photo shoots, or invite your customers for a special event and rent the whole place to entertain those important to you.
The Design District is getting the word out by advertising. Back in February, they had their first Friday night District Art Walk their vendors came out, brought their goodies to showcase. It was advertised throughout Delray Beach – hopefully you received yours.
Over 500 people showed up for this event. There was outdoor evening yoga, massages, and some vendors pouring beers. And there was live music.
Delray Design District is a place for you to check out now. The owners have a lot more planned to make this a special spot. It’ll become a Delray Beach shopping destination similar to Miami’s Wynwood Walls.
Head over to DelrayDesign. Delray Beach shopping is expanding right under your nose.
