Delray Beach luxury homes are gaining in demand and is a thriving marketplace today.
All though east Delray you’ll find neighborhoods where luxury has been for decades and others that are popping up on a regular basis. In this essay – and the video above – I showcase one area where builders are converting older mid-century homes into streets lined with Delray Beach luxury homes.
The area encompasses a part of Palm Trail, Kenmont, Bond Way and La Hacienda on north and south Lake Avenues. This area is between Federal Highway and the intracoastal waterway, just north of George Bush Blvd.
This area is just 15 blocks north of downtown Delray, so you can still use a golf cart to get there with ease. And today, the commercial market around here is growing with new businesses, entertainment and more.
When driving these street today you’ll still see mid-century home amongst these newly build Delray Beach luxury homes. But one lot after another, developers are buying the older homes and creating new masterpieces.
On 9th Avenue, a group of more than 9 Delray Beach luxury homes are under construction at the same time. It was once home to a dozen or more homes. This is on the southern edge, near Palm Trail Grill. And for boaters, it’s a block away from Marina Delray.
Delray Beach Luxury Homes on Palm Trail Lead The Way
The first street to make the leap building Delray Beach luxury homes was Palm Trail. Take a drive on it today and it’s almost 95% luxury. At the north you’ll run into The Estuary, which is a gated community of luxury townhomes.
As these streets are easy to navigate, cruise along Bond Way, 8th and 9th Aves., Weatherspoon or Mc Kee Lane.
When done, head north on Federal Highway just three blocks and turn east onto Lake Ave. This is where you’ll see the prominence of Delray Beach luxury homes. The first few properties are commercial, then a few older 1950’s homes… then the luxury homes begin.
You’ll see 2-3 mid-century homes, then 4-6 brand new luxury home. As you get to the end and veer left, it’s a row of about a dozen luxury home. And on North Lake avenue you’re greeted with La Hacienda green space and a multitude of different styled Delray Beach luxury homes. Some with wood-fenced balconies, others with modern metal ironwork.
2025 will see 2-3 dozen new Delray Beach luxury homes built in this small area. So if looking for a luxury home on the mainland area – not “the island” – open up your browser and zoom in on these streets.
Or, as I know this area well, call me so we can schedule time to discuss what that latest developments are, and time to tour some of these Delray Beach luxury homes.
